This quick growing ram has been pure eye candy every time I stand back to enjoy the flock! He is RR scrapie resistant, is a grandson of my Quadruplet&Quintuplet mama, and his Finnsheep dam was giving 1-2lbs daily during the first week after lambing, while lambsharing with no withdrawal. She was still providing over a pound per milking at 12 weeks lactation. She was a first time mama.
Edmund is a black HST badger, and has a very good chance of carrying brown. Since I ran 7 rams last fall, he only was with a couple ewes, but I am looking forward to using him again soon.
His wool is very thick and dense and soft (his lamb fleece micron test said 12.8!) but he seems to take after his sire with a shorter staple. I am tempted to keep him as a replacement for his sire Haku, pending his sister Jill's performance this spring.
