Wild Rose said that she got a quart from Aada here and there when she needed to supplement other lambs. I have not done an official milk withdrawal yet since she's nursing 3 1/2 babies. Explanation of her udder shape: "She ripped her udder on barbed wire and it sagged, so no she didn't always bow down, it's injury related. Before that, she had a perfect udder." -Wild Rose Finnsheep

This 8-year-old's fleece really impressed me for its softness, luster and crimp. I dedicated one of my 3 coats to her last winter, but she outgrew the size 30 and I didn't have a bigger size, so she spent a couple months uncoated, and it was too full of VM at shearing to sell. I did not get photos before shearing, but might be able to find the fleece...
The fleece is fairly open, which is typical of a Finn
This sweet old ewe came to me last summer from the legendary Wild Rose Finnsheep in Idaho. She has been on the pedigree of many excellent sheep, and was known as a top mama at her home farm. After many years of breeding, Wild Rose was liquidating the entire flock, so I had to snatch this girl up when I had the chance.
My experience with her thus far has been similar. Aada delivered her quadruplets without trouble this year all on her own (a few shepherd friends and I had an impromptu watch party on the barn camera that day 😂) She was very clever, laying down for each contraction with her head positioned so that she could keep cleaning the earlier babies while she delivered the next. She is a very dedicated mother to her quads, no surprise when you look at her impressive lambing record!
Aada came highly recommended as a milk sheep, but hadn't been consistently milked or milked out (just a quart of colostrum here or some milk there to help feed the other lambs.) I'm looking forward to testing out her milk production once her lambs are old enough to milk share!
