Record of Lambs Raised to Weaning

3-3-4

Pandia came to us as a lamb from Cream City Lamb And Wool in 2022. She provided a lamb fleece that is now my favorite sweater dress, and proceeded to have triplets as a first time mama in 2023. Her lambing record is 3-3-3. She has raised 10 lambs through to weaning, since she also accepted and raised a bum lamb for me this past spring.

Pandia is one of my milking ewes. She has LHF ancestors, and it shows. Her letdown is better than most of my ewes. She has nice large orfices, and stretchy teats. Although she has 2 extra nonfunctional teats, they are well-spaced and don't interfere when milking. She produces about a quart/day at peak.

Pandia is typically non-confrontational, but it seems that Sarai likes to regularly her. She's not an in-your-pocket ewe, but she loves her scratches and snuggles in the right moment.

Pandia is a foundation ewe for my flock, who has been an outstanding matriarch Her 3 daughters here have retained her ease of milking, her dairy-frame body structure, her staple length (6-7 inches per year, yielding 2 nice fleeces in a year) and her lower microns (Pandia tested at 25.9 microns this year, her daughters are all 16-21 microns. I suspect her younger fleeces fit this range as well.) I'm grateful for her presence here 🥰
